Privacy
Last updated: 2026-05-17. This is the short, plain-language version of what inseasons does with your data. If you have any questions, email us.
What we store
- Your email address, so we can email you a sign-in link.
- The check-ins you submit: the phenomenon you saw, the spot, the status, your optional note, and your optional photo.
- A display name derived from your email (the part before
@). You can change this at any time.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't embed third-party tracking pixels. Our analytics are aggregate page views with no cookies.
- We don't require a phone number, real name, or precise location.
Photos
Photos you upload to a check-in are stored publicly on our content delivery network. We strip EXIF metadata where possible, but anyone viewing the photo can save it. Don't upload anything you wouldn't want a stranger to see.
Deleting your data
You can delete any check-in you submitted from the Account page. To delete your whole account and all associated data, email hello@inseasons.app and we will remove it within 7 days.
Who runs this
inseasons is a small project by a Vancouver-based maker. The site runs on Supabase (Postgres + storage) and Mapbox (basemaps).
